School is starting and we will be welcoming our students back, but we also have more new employees to welcome to the D87 family! Let's give a big welcome to Ashley Swanson who will be working at Oakland as a library paraprofessional Ashley is no stranger to D87 - she herself was an Oakland Owl and is a proud alum of BJHS, and BHS- she also volunteered in in the Oakland library and her daughter's class last year. Now, she's the Owls full-time, ready to share her passion for books and learning with our students.
Outside the library, Ashley loves reading, spending time with family and her dog, Alex, enjoying the outdoors and taking on home improvement projects.
